Pat’s Hubba Hubba is back.
The popular hamburger stand in the Cove reopened Friday after a fire closed the restaurant in May.
With outdoor seating, hamburgers, dogs, fries, shakes, ice-cream–basically all things Summer-Pat’s has a loyal following. It’s mostly lost on me though, as the food is pretty standard. A trip today for a chili dog left me wishing I had made the trek to Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield. Maybe I’m not ordering the right things, I’m told their hamburgers are the main food draw.
Still, any day I can sit outside in the sunshine, down a chocolate milkshake and call it ‘work’ is fine by me.

P.S. There is some interesting history here. I might have to check out Hubba in Port Chester (which is now unaffiliated with Pat’s Hubba Hubba).
