As a photojournalist at the Advocate, I spend a lot of time outside the office in the towns I cover. It’s sort of a joke around the newsroom that I judge the quality of my assignments based on their proximity to my favorite lunch joints.
In fact, I often jockey for jobs that are near, for example, Valencia Luncheria, in Norwalk, then pray they will have the sea scallop and gorgonzola arepas on the daily special menu.
Long story short: I now have a blog.
I’m sure there will be more to this than a review site for lunch spots à la ‘cheap eats.’ One of my passions in the world of food is coffee, particularly espresso. It’s sort of a sickness. More on this later…I feel the urge to go pull a ristretto.
